Why Muslims kill Jews

Only some Muslims go around killing Jews but why do they hate so much? For Christians, the problem with Jews is that their remote ancestors killed Jesus - and that seems to be a problem despite the fact that his death is a major positive feature of the religion. You'd think they'd be grateful to Jews for helping them out. But although Christians bear this weird grudge, apart from Hitler, few other Christians go around killing Jews. This is not the case with Muslims - or at least fundamentalist Muslims. It seems that they don't so much bear a grudge as think that an example was set by Mohammed so they should do the same thing. The prophet slaughtered 900 Jews in Medina and if the holy prophet did this, it must be OK and also encouraged. Just like it's OK to have multiple wives and marry girls who are 9 years old and kill apostates or people who insult him. But I digress. It turns out, they are all mistaken according to Tarek Fatah. In his latest book, The Jew is not my Enemy, he points out that the facts don't fit - such a slaughter did not take place.
But whatever the source, Muslims hate Jews with a passion. This is of course inflamed by the fact that the Israeli Jews keep beating them in battles - that's hard on the ego so it generates an intense backlash. Unfortunately, approx 50% of Muslims are illiterate so can't read books or web sites putting forth the truth and these same Muslims feel the need to hate Jews as part of their patriotic fervour. And make no mistake, Muslims think of their religion as more than just a religion, it's part of their culture, part of who they are. That's why it permeates their governments and why Muslims countries band together on many issues.
Tarek Fatah is a moderate Muslim - he customizes his religion just like many Christians do. That means he believes in "liberal democratic rights" such as the equality of women, tolerance for other religions, non-violent solutions to problems etc. What's left over in the Muslim religion, he takes to be his faith. Makes him a good man although there are some irrational things remaining - like a belief in Allah. He believes that although he's in a small minority, he is in fact following the Qur'an! He also believes that the Qur'an states that the Jews are entitled to their State of Israel although the Palestinians are equally entitled - hence his support for both to have a country.

One of the characteristics of this prejudicial hatred of Jews is that influential Muslims believe that Jews run the world by controlling the U.S. and other agencies - weird but scary.
But if you get a chance to listen to Tarek - he'll make you even more scared of Muslims - especially if you are Jewish! However, he does think that if Israel helps establish a Palestinian State, then the "oxygen for a Muslim anti-Semitism will be cut-off". Unfortunately, Israel will likely not do that even though it's the humane and right thing to do.
Pretty sure more Muslims have been killed by Jews....nice try though
