Churches generally don't pay taxes - yet only a fraction of their work involves public service. The rest is directed only towards their members.

Should Muslims be allowed to immigrate to other countries?  And if they do immigrate, what conditions should be imposed, if any?

Muslims have a unique and primitive attitude to women.  At least they do if they follow the Qur'an or even if they follow the culture taught by many Imams.

It's not only Muslims that murder relatives in the name of their religion and their honour, but they are the majority.

Is there any way to stop the terror and barbarity that extremist Muslims use to further their cause?  It wouldn't be so bad if they left their terror tactics behind when they left their Islamic country - but too many don't.

The Bible - two parts: 1) A compilation of stories written more than 2000 years ago.  Some myth, some supposed history, lots of violence and sex. 2) a compilation of stories written by early Christians about the founder of the Christian Churches.

Missionaries are misguided but usually well meaning.  However, they have caused and continue to cause untold harm in undeveloped countries.

Some religions are better described as cults.  These are generally small groups who have been convinced by a charismatic preacher.  Everyone else thinks their beliefs are weird.

Although there are many Christian religions, there are many beliefs held by all Christians.

Catholic beliefs, individuals and behaviours.

Philosopher, gentle, a model of tolerance, has great understanding of human nature.

Evolutionary Biologist, great speaker, clear thinker, usually a gentleman although sometimes accused of being arrogant.

Professor of Physics and astronomy.  He deplores the fact that many people do not apply the scientific method to religious questions.

His first name is Anthony but he goes by A.C.  A very English professor of Philosophy. Clear in thought and easy to understand.

Author of the Heathen's Guide to World Religions.  One of the few atheists to use humour to make his point.

One of the greatest philosphers of all time.  He was loved by many but religious people did not like how he had arguments denying the existence of a god that they found difficult to refute.

Not really an author - his message comes via videos.  He is a man with a mission to tell it like it is - mostly about Islam.  Sometimes funny, usually entertaining.  Only his best are included here.

A Foundation Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration and Department of Physics in ASU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He also is director of the ASU Origins Project. He is the only physicist to have received the highest awards from all three major U.S. professional physics societies.  His talks are always entertaining.

An atheist activist, writer, journalist and radio host. He has recently written and published his first book A Voice of Reason in an Unreasonable World – the Rise of Atheism on Planet Earth.

Buddhism is more mystical than dogma oriented and some adherents even call themselves Atheist Buddhists.

Hinduism is one of the oldest religions (still being followed) and has one of the largest followings.

We all nominally agree (in western countries) that the church (or mosque or synagogue) should be kept separate from the affairs of the state.  But often time politicians and others will insert religion where it does not belong.

Can Multiculturalism work?  What  is the difference between culture and religion - especially when it comes to blaming one or the other for a behaviour.

The human mind is studied by psychologists, philosophers and others.  An understanding of it can help us understand why many people have a need for religion.

Not everyone uses their reasoning ability when they should.  And when we do, most of us sometimes get it wrong.

Many religious people and leaders feel that ethics comes only from god.  Although this is the height of arrogance and is just plain wrong - it is a major source of discussion.

Politicians are not known for being ethical and also many people feel that big business does not understand the meaning of the word moral.
