looking in a mirror, recognize God?
If God, passing by a store window,
stole a glance at God's reflection,
would God become enlightened?

If there were God, would there be God
for God to believe in?
Would God use man to glorify God,
seek to prove God's worth to God's God?

Before an 'apostrophe s' was added to God,
were God and the Word the GodWord?

III
When God's Word was passed to humanity,
did the Word know the Word now belonged to God?
Had there been a struggle? Was it a hostile takeover?
Did the Word now have to ask God
for permission to multiply?

IV
If there were God, does God like being
confined to a three letter Word?
Does God ever stray outside this marriage,
and, if God and the Word divorced,
would God or the Word get the garden?

If there were no GodWord,
would God's garden become This garden?
Would a fig leaf from This garden
still shield man's shame? a saviour take the blame?

V
If the Word were single again,
and met Sophia* on a trip to Greece,
is there still enough time left
for the flame to be rekindled?

Could the SophiaWord
(the Greeks gave wisdom a woman's name)
embody truth? unite all there is?

Would Sophia's beauty be self-evident,
and if Sophia came to live again in This garden,
would This garden become a SophiaWordGarden?

VI
If there were no God
to take measure of the results,
would good will and acts of compassion
become transparent?
