Faith is incompatible with today's technology

Every day Muslims and evangelical Christians use cellphones, use twitter, send emails, use the internet, fly in planes, watch TV and they even use lower tech stuff like telephones, air-conditioning, cars and more. They use all these things in one way or another to spout forth about their faith, about their belief in mystical religious things. They believe in miracles and that god created the universe. They believe that god told us lots of things to believe and many of their beliefs, such as creation by god, go counter to scientific facts. They will say that if the Qur'an or Bible says something that contradicts science, then science is wrong. I would ask that they stop for just a minute and ponder this thought: if there was no scientific method, if there were no people who used the scientific method to uncover how the world worked, then there would be none of these things that they so freely use to spout forth.
Muslim terrorists go further, they take the technology discovered using what they must see as sinful methods and they use it for their evil purposes.
If everyone believed what fundamentalist religions teach, if everyone with no exceptions believed that all truth was to be found in the holy books, then we would not have science and we would not have any of today's civilization. We would still be living in the 18th century - but wait, a whole lot of Muslim countries are! They use the modern technologies, the things discovered by science, but they don't believe in using the methods that were in fact used to get there.
I hear a Muslim (and maybe a few fundamentalist Christians) out there saying - "but we DO use science - we do actually follow the scientific method. But only when we are working and not at prayer time - we divide our lives!" Sorry, if you are doing that, you are rejecting the teaching of your church - you are rejecting what your pastors and imams are saying. They say "have faith, do not apply reason to the big problems in life - do not think using the scientific method - it will contradict what you KNOW by your faith".
I can accept these extreme beliefs if people rejected all the fruits of NOT following the beliefs. So all the Muslim countries and large parts of the U.S. South must immediately get rid of any technology more recent than the last 200 years or they are exposing themselves as big-time hypocrites. It's not going to happen - so I guess they are resigned to being hypocrites.
