Iran's primitive practice of stoning exposed by movie

The movie, The Stoning of Soraya M exposes the barbaric practice of stoning women to death for adultery.  This practice is still legal in Iran because it is called for in the Islamic holy book, the Qur'an.  Although the film is based on an earlier case, there is currently a woman in prison in Iran, Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, awaiting execution by stoning.   A web site has been set up to rally support and tells the whole story here.  But how can any Muslim say with a straight face that Islam is a religion of peace when this kind of thing happens?  How can President Obama and other world leaders really think that Islam is entitled to full freedom of religion when this is what they want to do?

And now the film, The Stoning of Soraya M, has opened in London to much controversy.  The good news is that Iran is incensed (See news video below)!  They actually care that people think they are primitive and barbaric!  The bad news is that other countries are thinking of banning the film from being shown.  But ignoring or hiding the facts will not make them go away.  If Iran cares, maybe enough pressure will cause them to stop the practice and take a step into the world where people actually have rights.

A news report from Sky News tells the story.
