- Medical degree from Sheffield University U.K. Post-graduate qualifications from London University and the Maudsley Post-graduate Institute of Psychiatry.
- Medical license in Alberta, Canada issued in 1975.
Professional background
- Lecturer (equivalent to associate professor) of Psychiatry for three years in London, England. (St Mary's Hospital medical school, London, U.K and the Maudsley Post graduate institute of Psychiatry, London, UK.)
- Immigrated to Canada in 1975 after being "head hunted" by the Government of Alberta.
Worked as a staff Psychiatrist for Community Mental Health in Alberta and later at Alberta Hospital Edmonton. Had my own private psychotherapy practice in Spruce Grove, Alberta until 2002.
- Now retired from practising Psychiatry, although I am still an expert witness in that field.
- Hosted a radio talk show for a short time in Alberta in the 1980s called "That's Living".
- Past president of the Alberta Psychiatrist's Association.
- Former chairman of a hospital and regional Ethics Committee (made up largely of clergymen!).
- Currently I am medical columnist for the Western Producer (syndicated to a couple of other publications).
